Cinnamon cafe in Windsor is continuing its battle to stay open and was given a big boost last weekend by a strong show of support from its customers.

Owner of the Cafe in Windsor Royal Shopping centre, Ian Jones, said: “It was a heartwarming weekend and we’re so grateful to those people who turned out to help us.”

Around 500 people came out to show their support and Mr Jones hopes it will strengthen his business case.

The cafe is currently on a rolling one month contract with landlords, Aviva, and has submitted a business proposal which it hopes will regain a long-term lease.

Anne Caldwell, mother of the cafe’s manager, Nick Caldwell, said: “They’re a wonderful little business and it was great to see so many people out to support them at the weekend. “They’re a great part of the community and it’s important for Windsor to have places like this.”
