An extreme case of fly-tipping resulted in an unusual collection of waste being dumped by the side of the road in Wraysbury last week.

The bizarre load contained a speed boat on a trailer, some BMW car bonnets and other assorted litter, all of which was dropped by the road side on Magna Carta Lane.

Wraysbury resident Teresa Brady reported the incident to the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and to Thames Valley Police on Friday, February 24.

The pile has since been cleared, but neither the Royal Borough or Thames Valley Police could confirm their involvement.

Plenty of people from the village and the surrounding areas spotted the unusual load, many of whom posted photos on social media.

One resident Nicola Harrington-Gray said: “I’d report to the police someone owns it and probably would love to have it back,” while another, Craig Parsons, said he would be happy to rehome it.

A Royal Borough council spokesperson said: “We will always pursue fly tippers where possible and would encourage anyone who spots waste being improperly disposed of to report it to the council.”
