Grime star Stormzy’s social media accounts have disappeared overnight.

The Heavy Is The Head rapper’s Instagram and Twitter pages appear to have been deactivated on Thursday.

Fans were met with a message that said “This account doesn’t exist” when they tried to access his Twitter page, while his Instagram said: “Sorry, this page isn’t available.”

It comes the day after the 26-year-old, real name Michael Omari, was awarded the first Greggs black card.

The “concierge card” entitled him to order any of the baker’s products free of charge at any time.

A video accompanying the gift reeled off a list of Stormzy’s recent achievements, including his Brit Award successes and stadium tours, adding: “Now you really have it all.”

The video suggested a list of delivery locations, saying “Could be Glasto, could be Reading”, in reference to Stormzy’s lyrics.

Some fans speculated that the move might be related to Stormzy’s ongoing spat with fellow rapper Wiley, sometimes dubbed the Godfather of Grime.

The pair have traded barbs over Stormzy’s decision to work with pop artists including Ed Sheeran, and Wiley’s status as one of grime’s creators.

Stormzy was crowned Best Male Solo Artist at the 2020 Brit Awards on Tuesday night, while he also received two other nominations for best album and best single.
