Whilst there may be minor changes to the original script in this fast-moving production of Ray Cooney's farce, the basic storyline remains unchanged - the effect the discovery a fabulous sum of unmarked fifty pound notes has on so many people.

Making excellent use of his most expressive face, Harry Gostelow is fabulous as Henry, on stage for most of the show after arriving home with a fortune in his briefcase.

He finds himself getting deeper in trouble with his wife Jean (Elizabeth Elvin), friends Betty and Vic (Anita Graham and Patrick Monckton) and two policemen (John Arthur and Michael Shaw), one following up activities that occurred in a pub toilet, the other investigating a murder.

Throw in a harassed taxi driver (Robin Askwith) together with a passing foreigner (Matthew Wynn) and the scene is set for a riotous evening's entertainment.

If superbly played farce appeals, then look no further than the Mill at Sonning for your Christmas fare where gales of laughter come regularly and frequently. The production runs until January 14, 2012.
