FOR all intergalactic time travellers, The Doctor is back and now he’s taking to the stage at Wembley Arena.

Doctor Who Live is the first of its kind, and is based on the BBC’s smash-hit, award winning series, promising to deliver a spectacular audio/visual experience which recreates all the magic of the TV programme.

The stage show will feature live music, special effects and appearances from the show’s most popular monsters.

Sound designer for Doctor Who Live, Richard Sillitto, who lived in Caversham for 20 years and attended Reading Blue Coat School, said that recreating the drama of the hit show was a challenge: “The show is based around all the monsters so our mission is to bring them to life in a way that everyone expects.”

But Richard warns that although the stage show is suitable for children there are scary parts, and added: “I think it will be as scary as the TV series is for children, there will be bits where they want to hide behind their programmes.”

Doctor Who executive producer, Steven Moffat said: “This is everything I ever wanted since I was 11. A live show, with all the coolest Doctor Who monsters, a proper story and Matt Smith appearing on a screen as The Doctor with a new script! I’ll be writing scenes for it and probably attending every night!”

Doctor Who Live is on tour across the UK from Friday, October 8. For ticket information, visit www.doctorwholive.com
