EARLYBIRD camping tickets holders can access the site from 6pm on Wednesday, August 25.

For everyone else the campsite opens on Thursday, August 26, at 8am and pitches are allocated on a first come first served basis.

Unlike in previous years earlybird camping tickets cannot be brought on the site this year and anyone without a previously paid for permit will be banished until 8am on Thursday morning. In order to keep the campsite safe, security are permitted to confiscate banned items on arrival.

Prohibited items include:

1. gas canisters

2. cylinders

3. aerosols

4. excessive alcohol i.e. for more than individual consumption

5. excessive amounts of cigarettes

6. illegal substances

7. portable lasers

8. glass bottles

9. fireworks

10. audio recorders

11. any goods branded with unauthorised Reading Festival logos.

For campers wanting a peaceful life there is a quiet zone campsite North of the Thames. Please make arrangements to get to the site as it is a four mile walk from the King Meadows car park. Please remember the campsite closes at noon on Monday.
