MICK WOODHAM has admitted that Windsor will take a step into the unknown when the new Hellenic Premier Division season gets under way on Saturday, August 12.

Windsor will make the trip to Tuffley Rovers in their first Hellenic League fixture, after a visit from Wembley in the FA Cup extra preliminary round this Saturday (3pm).

Having spent the last five seasons in the Combined Counties League, Woodham cannot wait for the new challenge, but he knows his young side must be difficult to beat this season.

The Windsor boss explained to the Observer: "What we need to do is start the season very well. We have two or three fixtures away and four at home, so the pressure is on us to deliver and we will see where we are come the end of August.

“We’re going into the unknown and we don’t know what will happen, but it’s great and I can’t wait. It’s all about challenges.

“We’re going to go into it head first and there are going to be some bumps in the road, but we will stick together and see where we are. If it is all plain sailing then it’s not football.

“We just need to be difficult to beat and play our game at home and try to get something away.”
