FLYING winger Joe Chandiram has admitted that he has not signed up for next season with Windsor & Eton yet.
The 23-year-old told the Observer that talks have taken place and he wants to sign up but is still waiting for money from last season before he puts pen to paper.
"I've not signed up yet," confirmed Chandiram. "I've had conversations with (manager) Dave (Mudge) about signing and they've been positive talks.
"The conversations have been along the lines of getting our money, if that goes to plan then I said I would look at signing up. As I said, I haven't signed but I was told I will be getting my money on a certain date. If that happens then I will be a lot more positive about signing for the club.
"Dave gave me his word it would be by the end of the month. I haven't played for Dave or (assistant manager) Byron (Walton) but I want to give him an opportunity. He made a commitment to me that I will get my money by the end of the month but we've been promised money at certain dates which have been missed.
"The meeting in March had an official agreement but was missed after verbal offers were missed and that is disappointing.
"Things are moving in the right direction and Dave is trying to rebuild the team, fair play to him.
"If the money is forthcoming, unless I get a better offer from elsewhere, then I will sign for the club. I would have to think about another offer but haven't had any as yet."
Chandiram does have sympathy with the club's financial situation and does want to stay so that he can challenge himself in the Southern Premier League at Stag Meadow.
"If the club hasn't got the money, then they haven't got the money but as far as I can see the situation is being resolved," he said. "Hopefully I can get what I'm owed.
"We all worked hard last year, put a lot of effort into winning the league and if everything goes to plan I will get paid and sign for the club.
"We've won the league and as a player you want to test yourself at the level above.
"It's a great club to be at and there are great fans, it is just unfortunate about the financial situation at the club.
"But if you're let down again you lose faith."
Striker Nathan Jack is one who has committed his future to the Royalists for next season although he is injured at the moment but itching to get back in action.
He commented: "I've agreed to sign.
"I'm injured at the moment. I have injured my knee, torn an anterior knee ligament. I am seeing the physio regularly and it's looking like September.
"Everyone wants to play at a higher level as they can.
"We are all capable of playing at that level as we proved last season by nearly going unbeaten and winning the league.
"It will be hard but hopefully we can finish mid-table.
"I think the pay will be resolved.
"I'm going in tomorrow (Tuesday) and am looking forward to meeting everyone, especially the new players, I think it's more about having a chat and getting to know each other."
