WINDSOR & Eton boss Keith Scott has revealed that preparations for next season are now in full swing and he has dismissed speculation linking him with a move away from the club.
The Royalists supremo stated: "I've heard loads and loads of rumours about my future but I can honestly say there has been lots of speculation locally about what Keith Scott is supposed to be doing, but it is all just rumours.
"The chairman asked me about the rumours when we met and I said 'it was just rumours' no one has contacted me directly.
"As far as I'm aware I'm manager of the football club up until the chairman says that he doesn't want me as manager or I receive an offer that is better that I will consider.
"I'm just carrying on as normal and preparing for next season at Windsor. I am still the manager of Windsor & Eton Football Club. I've arranged three friendlies, at home to Slough on July 17th, at Aylesbury Vale on August 3rd and Holyport as well."
Scott has had an initial meeting with chairman Peter Simpson and has lined up a more detailed one for next Thursday when he will present a proposal for the playing budget for next season when they will be in either the Southern or Ryman League Premier Division.
"I had a meeting with the chairman last Thursday and we briefly spoke about the budget," confirmed the boss. "We arranged to have another meeting at which time to try to discuss the budget in detail for the forthcoming season.
"I've put together a proposal because I want to try to keep the squad together if I can.
"I'm conscious of the fact that every club from the Premier down to Non League football is finding it difficult financially and I will present that to the chairman next week.
"I won't go into the detail because I want to inform the chairman first but the nuts and bolts of the proposal are that it will enable me to keep the nucleus of the squad together, won't have an impact on the potential wages of those players but will also reduce the overall budget from last year.
"It's definitely a viable proposal and a very good proposal and is something I've been working on with Jim (Melvin) for a couple of months. You can't expect the chairman year after year to keep putting his hand in his pocket.
"The most important thing I had to sort out was to reduce the budget and still keep the players I want as well as potential targets.
"What I want to do is keep the progression of the club going. I haven't had success on the back of trying to hamstrung the football club.
"I don't want to burden the football club because it cannot cope with it, the chairman cannot keep throwing his money into it."
