Full time: Windsor & Eton showed their class by thrashing third placed Paulton Rovers 4-0 at Stag Meadow.
Michael Chennells gave the Royalists an early lead and also hit the post in the first half.
Dan Cleverley went close twice but the home side took charge after the break and thoroughly deserved the victory.
Matt Seedel headed in the second, a rocket from Bruce Wilson and a Seedel tap-in sealed the win.
89 mins) Lewis Collier on for Phil Waters.
89 mins) Windsor on the break, Chennells skipped past two defenders but with Smith unmarked and with an open goal the top scorer saw his effort saved by the keeper's legs. Should have been five.
Sub 83 mins) Nathan Jack on for the excellent Bruce Wilson.
GOAL 82 mins) Paulton caught out when Smith got clear and side footed across to Seedel to tuck into an empty net.
GOAL 80 mins) An absoluetly magnificent strike from Wilson which flew in off the underside of the bar from at least 35 yards. The keeper had no chance from the free-kick
78 mins) A lovely flighted cross from Wilson, now playing out wide, was only just missed by Chennells and Seedel.
Sub 76 mins) Craig Burchill in on for Paul Milsom.
74 mins) Milsom nearly got away but didn't have the pace and was well challenged by the covering Fagan.
Sub 69 mins) Andrew Fagan on for Jake Parsons.
GOAL 68 mins) From the resulting corner Seedel was unmarked and planted his header home from close range.
66 mins) Chennells was released by Wilson and the keeper came charging out but the striker nicked the ball past him and he was caught. It was out wide rather than down the middle so Phillips got a yellow card, not red. From the free-kick Paulton escaped when a header looked goalbound.
62 mins) Windsor nearly benefitted of a stroke of good fortune when a defensive clearance hit Chennells and almost looped over the keeper into the back of the net.
56 mins) Half chance for Paulton as a shot was hit on the turn from eight yards but comfortable for Bullivant.
47 mins) Another bright start by Windsor but Wilson's free-kick is clicked on straight to Phillips by Chennells and he gathered gratefully.
Half time: Windsor & Eton lead 1-0 at the break thanks to an early strike by Michael Chennells who also hit the post as the half drew to a close.
As the first 45 minutes went on Paulton came more into the game which is delicately poised.
44 mins) Rich got forward from left-back and jinked his way into the box but Bullivant got down to save a shot that wasn't struck crisply.
42 mins) Smith did brilliantly to set Chennells away one-on-one with the keeper who he side footed past but the ball came back off the upright and seconds later the striker was inches away from a crucial touch to a ball whipped across goal by Chandiram.
40 mins) The visitors are looking dangerous from long throws and one is only half cleared but the shot was drilled straight down Bullivant's throat.
38 mins) A good contest at the moment as you would expect between first and third.
32 mins) Paulton are playing a bit better now after the hosts had the better opening quarter of the game and from a scramble in the box from a corner Cleverley's shot was blocked.
26 mins) First chance for Rovers as Lane laid the ball off for Cleverley but he curled his shot over from the edge of the box.
20 mins) Ryan Parsons stood the ball up at the far post and Smith beat the keeper who came flying out to punch it but the header looped wide.
14 mins) Seedel did well on the right to get a cross in and Chennells rose well but couldn't keeper his header down.
8 mins) Great chance for Chennells after being released by Wilson who won the ball in midfield but with the ball bobbling in the box he scuffed it across goal and too far in front of Smith.
6 mins) Paulton nearly forced an opening from a free-kick into the box but Bullivant gathered.
GOAL 2 mins) Chennells punishes some poor defending as he getrs away from the last man to slot past the stranded keeper.
All the action from the top of the Southern League Division One South & West clash between Windsor & Eton and Paulton Rovers will be updated live this afternoon.

Amazing performance today. I thought we looked in control for most part of the game. I think the third and fourth goal left them a bit shell shocked. For a team in 3rd place I was surprised by the score. A lot of people before the game were sure this was going to be hard game and possibly our first loss of the season. How wrong could they be! Bruce Wilson's goal was stunning and will stay with me forever especially as we were in line with it behind the goal and saw how strangely that ball moved before it went in of the bar. Truely stunning. Seeds and Bruce had brilliant games but for me Gavin Smith was man of the match. His control of the ball and passing today was articulate and the unselfishness of the passing across to Seeds to put in his second showed how great his awareness was. He would have been well within his rights to shoot at that point in the game. More games like that please :)

Windsor are lucky. This league is much weaker than the Midlands. Lets be honest only Windsor or Totton were going to win this league this season. Paulton in the Midlands would be mid-table in that league and possibly challenging for top six like they have done in previous seasons.
The midlands have Hitchin, Bury, Chesham, Burnham and Slough who could all win the league

For local fan read either slough fan or jamie jarvis. We gave farnborough a good test at home dispite not being on top form at the time and we should of beat eversham away aswell. We beat maidenhead 3-1 in pre-season, took a strong wycombe side so nearly into extra time and beat MK Dons pre-season. Paulton got alot further in the fa cup than slough or burnham did so where exactly is your facts? Scotty said just this week he wasnt impressed with what he saw from Slough vs Chesham. I'll take his word over yours!!

Local Fan is having a laugh.
Both Windsor and AFC Totton would walk the Midland Division
Burnham and Hitchin are not as strong as those sides.
I watched the Windsor Totton match and it was very very high quality. Windsor have fantastic organisation and good in defence. Totton are the paciest side i have seen at this level
