KEITH Scott believes it is becoming more and more difficult for Windsor & Eton the longer their unbeaten run continues.

On Wednesday evening they secured an excellent point at Frome Town but on Saturday were disappointed to be pegged back in injury time as they conceded an equaliser.

However, AFC Totton suffered defeat on Saturday at Yate Town but won on Tuesday night against Gosport Borough to leave the gap at the top at 14 points, with the South Coast outfit having four games in hand.

Being at the summit means that you are there to be shot at and Scott is convinced that every side raises their game to take on the Royalists, he said: "It's becoming increasingly difficult each game we play as teams want to be the first to beat us but we would rather be in that position than at the bottom of the league.

"We go out there and we know we have to perform against anyone in this league to get a result.

"One game doesn't make or break a season, if Totton win their games in hand they are only two points behind us and two points is nothing. Paulton are on a tremendous run as well, we've got to make sure we keep winning games."

Despite being well into February, the Royalists supremo is not even entertaining the thought of going through the league season unbeaten and is just focused on one game at a time and next up for Windsor is a home match against Cinderford Town tomorrow (Saturday) before a trip to Andover on Tuesday evening.

"We are not even thinking about going unbeaten in the season," stated Scott. "That would be a hell of an achievement, in Non League football players have to get up in the morning and go to work, it's not just about football.

"We are just taking it one game at a time and next is Cinderford. If you look at their results over the last five or six games they've picked up so it won't be easy.

"They are a strong side and will make it tough for us."

The boss was delighted with the point gained on Wednesday night in Somerset and the way the side is playing, he remarked: "To come away from there (Frome) still unbeaten, 27 games unbeaten, the players deserve the credit but we've got another difficult one on Saturday - Cinderford Town.

"We just want to win games, the way we play we don't want to nick points here and there to stay top.

"The players have great faith in their ability , myself and Jim (Melvin, assistant manager) have great faith that they can go anywhere and win a game. We just want to win as many games as we can."
