WINDSOR & Eton's run of five consecutive home league wins on the bounce came to an end as they conceded an injury time equaliser to a battling Mangotsfield United.

The Royalists started well but had to wait until the 61st minute to take the lead thanks to a cracker from Scott Thomas, however, Josh Brigham popped up at the death to earn United a share of the spoils.

Manager Keith Scott had mixed feelings after the game as AFC Totton were beaten so they did extended the gap over them slightly. He said: "If you had have spoken to me as soon as the final whistle went before finding out the Totton result I would have said two points dropped.

"But it's bitter sweet, a point gained if you look at it.

"On chances created we should have won the game but Mangotsfield are fighting for their lives and have had some good results of late."

A bright opening was made by the home side but they were kept at bay by the hard working Mangotsfield until midway through the half when Chennells was off target with a header and had a shot saved by Sam Alexander.

With Thomas and Jake Parsons involved, Windsor were probing but Smith headed wide from a Chennells cross but the visitors had a couple of chances themselves as the half drew to a close, Dan Spill headed wide and Harley Purnell forced Rob Bullivant into a fine stop.

The hosts began the second half in a positive fashion and were rewarded when Thomas let fly from 25 yards and the ball nestled in the top corner.

Chennells should have wrapped up the points minutes later but headed over from a corner and Mangotsfield survive a goalmouth scramble.

Just when it looked like Windsor had secured a fine victory against a side who impressively beat Gosport Borough last time out, Brigham ensured the game finished as a draw when he lifted the ball over Bullivant into the net.
