KEITH Scott believes that Windsor & Eton have come out of the last week with an advantage over title rivals AFC Totton.
The Royalists supremo is delighted with the point gained in a goalless draw at Thatcham Town, despite AFC Totton picking up all three although he was quick to point out that the south coast club suffered an unexpected loss at struggling Cinderford Town during the previous week when Windsor triumphed at VTFC.
The latest results leaves Scott's men leading the league by 15 points having played four games more.
The boss remarked: "From my point-of-view I expected Totton to gain on us by two points but we've come out of the last week well, we beat VTFC and got a good point at Thatcham, I thought they would beat Cinderford and Uxbridge but they lost one and won one.
"It was definitely a point gained at Thatcham and we are still going well."
Windsor have a tough week ahead of them, hosting the in form Mangotsfield United and then making the long midweek trip to Frome Town on Wednesday evening.
"Mangotsfield have had some good results of late," commented Scott.
"I watched them against Gosport last (Tuesday) night and they committed a lot of players forward very quickly and thoroughly deserved their 3-0 win.
"Frome have only lost one game in 21 and we've got to go there midweek so it will be very tough.
"They are a side that I'm convinced will finish in a top five position.
"We played them earlier in the season at our place and drew 0-0, they are well organised, 4-4-2, we know what to expect and they will know what to expect from us.
"It will be a match between two of the most consistent sides in the league and the most important thing is that we are ready for a tough battle because that is what we will get but we will concentrate on Saturday first."
Phil Bater's Mangotsfield will provide a stern test to the league leaders and have turned their form around since four straight defeats in January.
Mangotsfield were promoted to the Southern League Premier Division from Division One West in the 2004/05 season after a 21 match unbeaten run.
However, they were relegated back to Division One last season and ex-Bristol Rovers player Bater has a three year financial plan to stabilise the club and its position in Southern League football.
Striker Tom Knighton could be the biggest threat to Windsor's defence having netted nine goals so far this season in his second spell at the club.
Windsor will be at full strength apart from the suspended Matt Seedel following his late sending off against AFC Hayes. Scott added: "Matty Seedel begins his three match ban but apart from that we are at full strength. Adam Dickens comes into contention but I have a lot to choose from."
