STRIKER Nathan Jack has revealed a lack of trust at AFC Totton led him to switch to title rivals Windsor & Eton recently.

The hotshot marksman, who had scored 10 goals in 25 games at the Southampton outfit, was approached by manager Keith Scott to join the Royalists and the ex-Bracknell man marked his debut with a goal against Hungerford Town on Saturday during their 5-1 win.

Jack explained his reason from switching between the two title favourites, commenting: "Windsor is a lot more local to me than Totton was and that was one of the main reasons.

"In a way it was a difficult decision but also it wasn't. I had made a lot of friends at Totton but one of the main reasons I left was because I wasn't told about the seven day approach for me by Windsor.

"It did annoy me and made me feel like I should go. Once trust has been broken, which it was, then it is difficult to go back."

However, Jack has settled in well at his new club and adds another option to the already potent strikeforce at Stag Meadow.

"Everyone is quality at Windsor and have made me feel very welcome," he remarked.

"Saturday was the first game I've played in a long time due to the weather but it was great to score on debut and more importantly for us to win."

Although Jack believes that the race for the Southern League Division One South & West title could go down to the wire as there is little between Totton and Windsor, he would love to help the Royalists secure top spot after they just missed out last season.

He added: "I wouldn't say there was much difference between the two clubs. Both have good players which is why they are battling it out at the top end of the table.

"Hopefully Windsor can get promoted and play at the higher level of football. At a team like Windsor that would be great to achieve.

"I believe we can do it as they only just lost out in the play-offs last year so hopefully we can go better this year.

"I will do all I can to help them do that when I'm given a chance and I will look to take that chance."
