ROYALISTS boss Keith Scott was delighted that Victor Osobu did his talking on the pitch to give Windsor & Eton a crucial 1-0 vitcory over title rivals AFC Totton on Saturday.
The only goal of the game, six minutes from time and coolly finished, sparked scenes of jubilation as if the Royalists had won the league.
Scott commented: "The biggest gaff statement he made was how can you say Victor Osobu has not quality when he's got eight goal in 10 games?
"I was delighted for Victor because when he read that it hurt him, I said 'listen son, you have got quality, you don't score goals unless you've got quality. We've got to work on the rest of your game but we except that'.
"He is improvong all the time and I just think that their manager needs to possibly think about what he says in future.
"I'm not one of those managers that when goals are scored I just stand on the touchline, I want people to see my happiness as well. Those boys work hard to try to score goals and win football matches. I think as a manager you've got to feel that pleasure and that pain with them and I was delighted for them.
"I thought we played well but it wasn't flowing football but we dug in there and kept going, kept doing the right things and kept looking to get Victor and Michael in and the pass from bruce was fantastic but his finish was equally fantastic."
However, it was not all about Osobu, the back three were superb, particularly Andrew Fagan and Steve Butler in a resolute display.
"Typical top of the table clash, it wasn't a classic game," admitted the Royalist boss. "I think two good sides for the most part that cancelled each other out.
"But I just felt the longer the game went on the stronger we got, the last 15, 20 minutes I felt our fitness levels began to kick in.
"I don't think it was a classic Windsor performance but you've got to give credit to Totton.
"Their manager might feel unlucky and that they should have won but we are in the results business here. Two weeks ago we played from here and Bully (Rob Bullivant) might as well have gone down and sat int he changing room in the second half - but that's football, it's all about results."
In terms of possession the first half was equal but Totton could have put the game beyond doubt with the chances they created.
The crucial moment came with six minutes to go when Bruce Wilson played in Osobu to slide the winner past Gareth Barfoot into the back of the net.
