Maids heads for Twickers

MAIDENHEAD Under 12s completed a hat-trick of tournament wins this season by driving off with the Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup on Sunday.
Maids beat off stiff competition from 20 teams around southern England to lift the trophy, which they will proudly parade at Twickenham at the Aviva Premiership final in May.
Maidenhead won all four of their games in Pool C, went through to the semis on try count before beating local rivals Beaconsfield 10-5 in the final.
To add further gloss to their victory, they received the silverware from England and London Wasps flanker Tom Rees.
Maids hit the ground running in the group stage, beating Harlow 15-5 thanks to tries from Harry McCaffrey, Saul Payne and captain Harry Wells.
Payne had an outstanding tournament, running in a hat-trick during the 30-5 victory over Sutton & Epsom.
There was more of the same against Essex-based Westcliffe RFC, with the highlight being a four-try haul for Payne, who tore the opposition to shreds as Maids romped to a 30-0 win.
Maids won their final group game against Haywards Heath 25-0. Centre Jake Jenkins bagged a brace and scrum half Alex Sutton scored after another trademark Payne run following on from a further two tries from the rampaging second row.
A try apiece from Maids and Old Bristolians produced a draw in the semi-final, with Maids going through on try count.
Beaconsfield were all that stood in the way of Maids' route to glory, but two tries either side of half-time were enough to seal the victory.
Coach Chris Sutton said: "It was certainly an exciting day for the boys and they're looking forward to parading their trophy at Twickenham."
Squad: Adamcsik, Birch, Condon, Green, Gregory, Haederle, Jenkins, McCaffrey, McGregor, McLean, Payne, Peberdy, Sutton, Webster, Wells (captain).
