Jets looking to power ahead

SLOUGH host the rejuvenated Bracknell Bees tomorrow (Saturday 6.30pm) with the Jets looking to continue their excellent home form.
The last time the pair met was earlier this month when the Jets dished out a 9-1 hammering at The Hangar.
Pete Russell's side will be looking to do the same but should find their opponents tougher as they have moved into the play-offs with a 5-3 triumph over Swindon Wildcats.
A day later on the Sunday (5.30pm) the Jets travel to Manchester to take on the EPL leaders, the Phoenix but will not be daunted having won at second place Guildford the Sunday before.
"I don't expect anything less than a tough challenge from Bracknell," commented head coach Pete Russell. "But we need to win our home games. That is what we have been doing and we need to continue with that."
He added: "What we have got to try to do is pick up points against the teams above us.
"We have more than matched Manchester when we have played them so far but not too many teams go there and take points off them.
"We have got to put in a big game and try to get some points from there. I am confident we can do that and we are hitting form at the right time but it will be tough."
