THE Slough Jets head coach Pete Russell is looking forward to pitting his wits against the best over the coming month.
On Saturday, the Jets travel to unbeaten Milton Keynes Lightning who have started the season on fire and then they host Basingstoke Bison, led by former Jets star Steve Moria, who also have a number of other ex-Slough players in their ranks.
"The next month is really challenging," remarked Russell.
"It's good to play the good teams to see where we are at and what we need to work on. I want to see how close we are.
"Milton Keynes finished last season strong and have started well this season, winning all of their games. They are a very good side but I believe that I have a very good squad as well.
"Sunday will be interesting as well with a lot of old boys coming back here, I'm looking forward to it."
He added: "I want to be picking up points this weekend and I think we are well capable of doing that."
