SLOUGH Jets head coach Pete Russell has added James Knight and kept Kevin Phillips in the squad for next year.

"I have been working 24/7 so far, trying to put together our team and boy, it's been worth it," said Russell.

"These guys are two fantastic signings and quality British players.

"Firstly Kev (Phillips). I have known him since he was 15 years old and always knew that he was going to be a top player. Kev is a very solid defenceman."

On the acquisition of former Telford Tiger Knight, Russell added: "He will definitely add to our offensive punch. At every game that I coached against Telford, he always stuck out for me in all situations."
