WINDSOR RFC coach Paul Britton insists his side must remain focused on every game if they are to win promotion from Southern Counties North.
Since losing to rivals Beaconsfield on the opening day of the season, Windsor have won every match in the league and currently sit second in the table, six points off the top.
They are without a game this weekend but return to action on January 14 when they host struggling Tadley and Britton wants his team to be raring to go for their first match of the new year.
"We need to remain focused. We need to make sure we don't look too far ahead at the bigger games instead take each game as it comes," he told the Observer.
"If we don't remain focused we will struggle and drop points. The game against Wallingford is a prime example of that as we only won with the last kick of the match."
Windsor have been in fine form this season and ended 2011 with impressive victories against Alchester and Milton Keynes.
After meeting Tadley, Britton's men face crunch matches against fellow promotion contenders Grove and Wootton Bassett and the Windsor boss knows winning those games is vital to their chances of going up.
"Concentration is the key if we are to win the league title this season," he said. "We cannot worry about any other side and how there results are turning. We have to focus on ourselves."
Elsewhere, Maidenhead continue their push for promotion from South West One East with a top-of-the-table clash against league leaders Cheltenham on Saturday (2pm ko).
Maids currently sit second in the division, just five points behind Cheltenham, and won 37-34 when the teams met earlier in the season.
