WINDSOR suffered a disappointing return to action from the Christmas break after defeats for the senior men and Dames this weekend.

The senior men were beaten 29-0 by rivals and South West One East leaders Maidenhead on Saturday.

Maidenhead took a 15-0 lead into the half-time interval at Braywick Park with Nic Jones and Christoph Bart touching down.

Ed Keohane booted his second conversion attempt and a penalty kick, while Windsor’s James Howard missed his target twice.

In the second-half, Will Thompson and Jack Hill crossed the whitewash for the home team, with Keohane and Tom Finnie adding the extras.

The result means Windsor remain in 10th place in the league table with third-placed Newbury Blues set to visit Home Park this Saturday.

Maidenhead remain top of the pile by a single point from Old Patesians in second position and are away to fourth-placed Banbury on Saturday.

Despite the loss, the Dames remain third in the league table and head to second bottom Sutton & Epsom on Sunday January 29.

The Berks, Bucks & Oxon Premier gets back under way this Saturday with bottom side Phoenix hosting rivals and second-placed Drifters at Institute Road.
