MAIDENHEAD-based drivers Chloe and Jade Edwards will be looking to go one better than the smash hit West End theatre production of Sister Act - as they gear up to take part in one of the world’s largest race series at Silverstone - the Ma5da MX5 Championship.

With over 100 registered drivers, and 95 registered cars, Chloe, 21, and Jade, 20, will again be centre stage as they look to raise the curtain in what is wildly considered to be the largest single-make race series in the UK ever.

To aid their plight, the Edwards sisters have agreed an extension to their sponsorship deal with Middlesex-based search engine optimisation (SEO) provider Gravytrain, who is looking to optimise its investment through some of Berkshire’s best young talent.

The Edwards’ sisters will now be looking to combine their own rising success and search engine work of their sponsor, with the light chassis and brake horsepower (BHP) of the Mazda MX5, as they set to battle it out in rounds 14 and 15 of the MX5 Championship at the infamous Northamptonshire circuit.

“Silverstone has played host to many great drivers over the years,” says Jade. “It’s an ideal location to showcase driver talent.

“Although the Ma5da series offers exceptional value for money when compared to some other touring championship series, due to the cost of running an entry [car] for the season, the sport replies heavily on its involvement through key sponsors, so both Chloe and myself are delighted that Gravytrain is able to see a return on investment (ROI) and support us for the remainder of the season; particularly at a prominent blue chip networking race event,” added Jade.

With the maximum track allocation of three 48-car Ma5da rounds over one race weekend, to say the Ma5da MX5 Championship is larger than life is perhaps an understatement, and sure to make interesting viewing when it’s aired on Motors TV.
