WINDSOR & Eton manager Keith Scott believes he is part of 'plan B' in Wycombe Wanderers' search for a new boss.

The former Chairboys striker had discussions with the chairman, Ivor Beeks, yesterday afternoon and registered his interest in taking the hotseat at the League One strugglers.

"I've spoken to Wycombe and registered my interest in becoming their new manager," said Scott on Tuesday morning. They know I want the job.

"Like all the managers that have registered their interest, we will be considered and the club will go what way they want.

"I have spoken to the people that matter at the football club, the chairman.

"I'm sure they will have someone in mind, at this professional level they always have targets in mind. If they don't get that target they have to have a plan B.

"Wycombe have got an important game against Colchester (United) on Saturday, there is a big, big rivalry between the two clubs and sets of fans going back to when I played for Wycombe in the Conference.

"I'm convinced they have a target in mind to be in place for that game and in the next two or three days they will look to announce it. But if they can't get that target and if plan B is Keith Scott fantastic. If not then I will still go down there and support the club and hope whoever it is can lead the club to safety."
