WINDSOR Boys" School Boat Club had a very busy and successful week building up to the climax of the regatta period.

THE WBSBC senior squad had already qualified for the Fawley Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta, an under-19 event for quadruple sculling, and more crews were looking to gain one of the coveted nine places in the race.

The J16 quad of Alex Wilson, Jack Clark, Lewis Sloan and Harry Johncox sculled superbly to qualify in the top nine crews on Friday. Close behind, but just outside of the top nine were Windsors" second boat of Elliot Jury, Michael Durham, Dalveer Gandam and Jake Murray (fourth non-qualifier) and the remarkable J15 quad of Jordan Taylor, Harry Gilmour, Harry Clemance and Harry Baker who came sixth out of 30.

On Saturday at the Peterborough J14 Championship regatta, the A crew of Greg Wilson, Laurie Johncox, Charles Cross, David Nicholas and cox Jack Harrold produced a brilliant display to get the better of a powerful Marlow crew and triumph in the final.

Squad coach, Tom Aalders commented: 'An outstanding performance - the boys came of age today and fully deserved this excellent victory.'

The double of Andrew Joel and Jack Hilton showed their pedigree by taking a good bronze in a strong field.

Windsor crews dominated the Egham Centennial regatta on Sunday, now in its 100th year for younger juniors.

In the first division the J14 quad, fresh from its success at Peterborough took the title and the J15 double of Jordan Taylor and Harry Gilmour overwhelmed the opposition with a display of power sculling to win comfortably.

In the second series of races Gilmour continued his winning ways in the J15 singles and Alfie Horn with Peter Rosolemos won a hotly contested J14 doubles event. In the final group of races the J15 quad of Lee-William Orchard, Mikey Lloyd, Daniel Lisle, and Harry Baker coxed by Peter Rosolemos won through to an all Windsor final and edged narrowly ahead of their team-mates to complete Windsor"s clean sweep of the J15 events. Andrew Joel flew the flag for the J14 squad and his win in the final of the singles event completed an excellent day"s racing for the Windsor Boys" School Boat Club.
