MAIDENHEAD United suffered a first defeat in 10 matches in all competitions after a 3-1 loss at Havant & Waterlooville on Saturday.

Magpies took the lead in the National South fixture at Westleigh Park when Jake Reid netted on 13 minutes.

A poor defensive lapse let the forward through on goal and he placed the ball into the back of the net.

Havant levelled the score midway through the half as a first-time shot from Godfrey Poku flew into the back of the net.

The home team took the lead on the hour mark when Nic Ciardini blasted a free-kick past keeper Carl Pentney and into the net.

Havant secured the points in the final minute of normal time as Scott Donnelly was on hand to convert from close range.

Despite the defeat, Maidenhead remain in fifth place in the table ahead of a visit to York Road from Dartford this Saturday (3pm).

The FA Cup first-round replay between Maidenhead and Port Vale this Thursday (7.45pm) has sold out of home tickets.

Ticket holders only will be admitted to the ground at the York Road entrance from 6pm.

Maidenhead have been drawn at home to Bideford in the FA Trophy third qualifying round on Saturday, November 28.

Windsor extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to four matches with a 1-1 draw against Guildford City on Saturday.

Barry Dunbar scored inside 10 minutes for Windsor, but his effort was cancelled out by Matt Anton on the hour at Stag Meadow.
