7:47pm BREAKING NEWS

Tonight's Berks & Bucks Senior Trophy quarter-final tie between Windsor FC and Newport Pagnell Town has been postponed due to a frozen pitch at Stag Meadow.

7:45pm

Groundsman Ian Gould is still inspecting the pitch with no news released form the dressing room as to whether tonight's quarter-final tie will go ahead or not.

7:43pm

The signs of a football match taking place tonight do not look promising with the officials and players still to emerge.

7:36pm

Windsor set to line-up 4-4-2 this evening with, as expected, a weakened starting 11.

Fergus Moore, Ryan Ashe and youngster Rob Lazarczuk come in for rare starts while strike duo Michael Chennells and Ryan O'Toole start from the bench alongside Andrew Fagan who netted the opener in Saturday's 2-0 league win over Farnham Town.

Newport put through an extensive pre-match warm-up tonight in the freezing conditions.

Newport have also named a weakened side with only a few first-team players making the trip down to Windsor.

7:33pm TEAM NEWS

Newport Pagnell Town: Gavin England, Craig Ralph, Christian Small, Dave Baker, Stefan Szkwarek, Robert Tapp (c), Steven Brooks, Karl Kerkin, Kyle Welch, Jack Croxford, Jordan Sebastian

Subs: Daniel Goodwin, Matt Cullis, Lewis Cardno, Luke Parker

7:29pm TEAM NEWS

Windsor FC: Rob Bullivant, Dave Tilbury, Ryan Parsons (c), Fergus Moore, Chris Ellis, Jake Parsons, Kyle Anthony, Ryan Ashe, Yashwa Romeom, Robert Lazarczuk, Joe Chandiram.

Subs: Michael Chennells, Ryan O'Toole, Andrew Fagan

7:27pm

Both teams going through their respective pre-match warm-ups at opposite ends of the pitch amidst near freezing temperatures at Stag Meadow this evening.

The playing surface passed a 4pm inspection but I would be no surprise if the match referee takes another look before kick-off or at half-time.

WINDSOR FC bid to book themselves a place in the Berks & Bucks Senior Trophy semi-finals tonight when they welcome Newport Pagnell Town to Stag Meadow.

The local cup competition is Windsor's second serious opportunity of silverware this season although manager Keith Scott has prioritised the race for the Combined Premier title.

Windsor are expected to make several changes from the side that beat Farnham Town 2-0 on Saturday with Fergus Moore, Ryan Ashe, Robert Lazarczuk and Yashwa Romeo all expected to come into the side.

Back-up goalkeeper Mark Banfry has been ruled out with a finger injury while midfielder Ben Porter will not be risked after limping out of the weekend win with a hamstring strain.

But Scott will be keen to maintain his side's current unbeaten run of 10 games in all competitions and extend a winning streak that stands at seven.

Windsor beat Shrivenham 4-1 in a re-arranged second round tie back in November to reach the quarter-finals after the original tie was abandoned due to floodlight failure midway through the first-half.

Tonight's visitors Newport Pagnell have had a close affiliation with the Trophy in recent years, winning the competition for the past two seasons and finishing runners-up in 2007/08 and 2008/09.

Darren Lynch's side are on course for another successful United Counties League Premier season, currently seventh, and are expected to field a strong side despite an FA Vase fourth round tie against Ashington AFC on Saturday.
