MAIDENHEAD United progressed into the semi-finals of the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup after a 4-1 win against Abingdon United at York Road on Tuesday night.

Elsewhere, Wycombe Wanderers needed extra time to overcome Chalfont St. Peter of Southern Division One Central 3-2 at Mill Meadow.

Slough Town and Burnham can book their places in the last four of the competition with wins Chesham United and Hungerford Town respectively on January 17.

Binfield and Abingdon Town became the first sides to progress into the semi-finals of the Berks & Bucks Senior Trophy.

The Moles won their all-Berkshire derby at Reading Town 2-1 while Abingdon beat Sandhurst Town in a 6-3 thriller.

Combined Counties Premier Division high-flyers Windsor FC take on last season's winners Newport Pagnell Town while Holyport visit Wantage Town in the remaining quarter-final ties on January 16 and 17.

Finally, Burnham continued their fine league form with a 1-1 draw at Uxbridge on Tuesday night.

Harry Pritchard gave the Blues a 46th minute lead before Mark Dennison's 90th minute equaliser denied Martin Stone's men a valuable win.
