MANAGER Keith Scott insists Windsor FC's strike force have the ability to 'cause havoc' after the capture of Michael Chennells from Brackley Town.
Chennells was a fan favourite during his time at the now defunct Windsor & Eton, scoring over 100 goals and playing a key role in the Southern League Division One South & West title winning side in 2010.
The 25-year-old recently returned for a second spell at Stag Meadow after a frustrating run of injuries triggered his release from Brackley and he made his debut during Saturday's 1-0 victory at South Park.
A delighted Scott declared the trio of Chennells, Ryan O'Toole and Yashwa Romeo have the ability to cause problems for sides higher up the English football pyramid.
"We now have three completely different strikers who in their own right have the ability to cause havoc," Scott told the Observer.
"I'm delighted Michael's back and everybody knows what he can do.
"There was interest from Chesham but I spoke with him and his parents and we agreed that he would train with us and play on Saturday.
"We had another chat after the game and he told me that he was going to stay.
"He needs two or three games to get back into it but were it not for the goalkeeper on Saturday he could have had two or three goals.
"We now have three very different strikers who can cause problems to defences at the next level let alone at this one."
The Windsor boss also believes the addition of Chennells will bring much needed flexibility to his title chasing team.
"Before we won the Division One title we had a very good side but could only play one system, 4-4-2," Scott continued.
"Didcot stifled us in the play-off by doing their homework.
"But the 2010 title winning squad could play different systems, 4-4-2, 4-3-3, 4-5-1, and now so can this one.
"We have now got the flexibility to go to places and change our system if we have to."
However, it was Jake Parsons who netted a timely winner at King George's Field on a day where the midfielder's older brother and club captain Ryan celebrated the birth of his baby daughter.
"It was a Parsons family day with Ryan's daughter and Jake celebrating with a winning goal," Scott added.
"It was a very good win against a decent side.
"It's South Park's first season at this level having been promoted last year and considering their league position they are adapting well.
"It could have been more comfortable but their goalkeeper [James Wastell] was in inspired form.
"But for him it could have been four of five, but at the end of the day it doesn't matter if it's 1-0 or 10-0, it's only three points."
Windsor's task was made a little easier on the hour mark when Park's Kieran Lavery was sent off for a heavy tackle on Chris Ellis, a decision Scott admits was a little harsh on the forward.
"I suppose the way the laws are written going to ground with both feet showing is classed as wreckless, but I don't think there was any intent in the boy," Scott went on.
"It was always going to be a difficult game prior to the red card but I thought we were getting on top before the sending off."
Windsor will bid to extend their current unbeaten league run to 10 games on Saturday when they host strugglers Raynes Park Vale (3pm ko).
Windsor recorded a 3-0 win at The Vale back in October but Scott was quick to quash suggestions of an easy home victory.
"Football has a habit of kicking you where it hurts when you least expect it," he said.
"We got a good result at their place but will give them the respect they deserve.
