NOW that pre-season training has started manager Dave Mudge wants to put the off-field turmoil at Windsor & Eton behind them and crack on with football.
"Windsor are now back in pre-season training and want to put behind them all that has happened so far, I just want to concentrate on getting ready for the season and looking at football issues," said the ex-Burnham manager.
"Everyone is pulling in the same direction which is good for a football club."
When asked about the recent events, concerning letters to the papers and payment issues, he had no comment to make but did confirm that Joe Chandiram, Jake Parsons, Martin Williams, Michael Chennells and Dave Woozley, along with injured trio Rob Bullivant, Nathan Jack and Matt Seedel have returned.
"They have all signed league forms," stated Mudge who met with the chairman Peter Simpson on Tuesday evening.
The Royalists boss commented: "It was a very positive meeting. We've had a lot of issues that have been dealt with.
"It was very encouraging. The club are meeting responsibilities and are ahead of schedule."
Mr Simpson was unavailable for comment on the meeting or issues, such as payment of club players and management, that has happened at Stag Meadow this year.
With Bullivant out until September, a new keeper is required but Mudge has ideas, he said: "We have two keepers trialling and young Tom McNeil will get a chance.
However, the squad does contain a lot of experience. Mudge added: "The latest signing is Davis Haule, he's 34 and known from when Hayes & Yeading played Newcastle in the FA Cup. He's got experience which we will need.
"It's going to be a big strong division, he won't play 40 games but if he has any legs left, which we think he has, he will do us proud. We will need players like him and Martin Williams."
The manager is also excited about the prospect of former West Ham United youth team player and England Under-16 footballer, Liam Parrington, despite fitness concerns.
"Liam Parrington, a boy from West Ham, if he is fit he will be the best player in the league but until he has faced a few tackles we won't know if everything is right but he looks good so far.
"His brother Craig is trialling as well. We are in talks with players with league experience too."
However, they have lost some of the side that performed miracles over the past two seasons in delivering the Berks & Bucks Cup, runners-up finish and then Southern League Division One South & West championship.
"Ryan Parsons, Steve Butler and Bruce Wilson has left, Andrew Fagan is trialling with a Conference South club," remarked Mudge.
