IT IS top versus bottom as Windsor & Eton hosts Berkshire rivals Bracknell Town on Saturday.

The Robins have shipped 57 goals in 16 matches and have just three points on the board and the Royalists remain unbeaten and are fresh from a 1-0 victory over title rivals AFC Totton. But manager Keith Scott is not taking anything for granted.

He said: "It's the old potential banana skin.

"If it was a game on the coupon you would put it down as a home win but sometimes it's easy to think you are going to turn up and win games like that but we won't do that.

"We will give Bracknell the respect they deserve and approach the game like we did with Totton."

Windsor were supposed to play VTFC on Tuesday evening but that has been postponed due to the South Coast side having a cup game instead.

"My original thought was to rotate the squad to freshen things up but now we haven't got VT on Tuedsay I don't know," commented Scott.

"I will make my decision on Thursday night or Friday morning."

The Royalists won 2-1 at home Bracknell last year but in a very poor display they lost 3-2 at Larges Lane and Scott is aware that the Robins raise their game against their local rivals.

He said: "It's one of our bogey teams, we lost there 3-2 last year but made amends at home.

"We didn't turn up there last year but this is the sort of thing we have told the players about - you have to earn the right to win games, it doesn't matter where they are in the league.

"We will play at the same intensity against Bracknell as we did against Totton.

"We want to put the pressure on the teams chasing us and the only way to do that is to get three points.

"It would be great if we could get lots of goals but we just want to win the game. If we win 1-0 I will take that because it's three points but we won't take our eye off the ball."

The Bracknell boss, David Tuttle who used to play for centre-back for Tottenham, Crystal Palace and Millwall, has come up against ex-Swindon, Norwich and Reading striker Scott and he is looking forward to pitting his wits against him on the touchline as well.

"Dave is a friend of mine," remarked the Royalists boss. "I admire him for taking that job on.

"He's taken it on with no budget and I admire that and the Bracknell board and fans should be grateful.

"He was a tough competitor when I played against him so it will be nice to see him and have a beer with him and hopefully from a managerial point-of-view, get one over on him."
