HOLYPORT Reserves' recent domination of the Maidenhead Norfolkian Junior Cup came to an end with a 2-1 defeat at East Berks side Waltham.
Neither team played well but it was Waltham created the more clear openings and took advantage of these.
Port play in the Hellenic Reserve League battled hard and had spells of domination and did equalise with five minutes to play but a soft refereeing decision saw the goal disallowed.
The highlight of the game for Port was the full debut of Sam Creffield, who at just 17, looks to have a very bright future.
In the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup Holyport's clash at hoem to Sanhurst Town reserves was postponed and Eton Wick crashed out with a 1-0 defeat at home to Aylesbury Reserves.
