THE goals continued to flow for Holyport as they bounced back from last week's disappointing loss to Division One East leader Wokingham & Emmbrook to triumph 3-2 at Kintbury Rangers.

Port - the division's top scorers - netted their 50th goal of the league campaign in just 13 matches during the win without their suspended top scorer Lewis Driver.

Goals from man of the match Lee Jerrum, Jamie Handscomb and the half century from Dan Rapley were enough to see the hosts maintain their 100 per cent record on the road this season.

Holyport's games are now taking on a familiar pattern, the forwards are scoring for fun, but the lack of defensive qualities throughout the side leaves them suspect to conceding at any time. This match was no exception with Port leading 2-0 then conceding a goal from a free-kick to go in at half time 2-1 up.

The Rangers manager gave his side a late fireworks display during the interval and, but for some poor finishing, they could have found themselves in the lead within the opening 15 minutes of the second half.

Rapley's excellent solo effort proved to be the winner but only after a late strike led to a nervy last five minutes.

Assistant manager Andy Sinclair said: "I would like to see more from my experienced players when we are under pressure, the youngsters need their support."
