THE top of the table clash saw Holyport share the spoils in a thrilling contest with Thame United as it finished 3-3 at Summerleaze Village in Division One East.

Thame were unbeaten all season and had only conceded four goals so things did not look good for the hosts when Aaron Rogers volleyed United in front in the second minute.

Port were second best to start with and found themselves two down when Rogers grabbed his second in the ninth minute.

It took until midway through the first half for the hosts to string any passes together and to create a chance and they did halve the deficit Tom Donati slid home a corner.

This galvanised Port and Jamie Handscombe poked in an equaliser before the Thame keeper saved well from Lewis Driver.

However, the second half started as the first did with Thame having a goal disallowed before retaking the lead in the 49th minute through Mark Jones.

The response was immediate and a lovely move from the restart resulted in Driver heading home Lee Jerrum's cross.

In an end-to-end finish to the game, the visitors had the better chances but it finished level.
