SLOUGH Town extended their unbeaten run in the Southern Premier Division to four matches after a 2-1 win against Frome Town on Saturday.

It is the first time the Rebels have beaten Frome since their promotion into the division in 2014, and keeps them in fifth position in the table.

A goal from Kris Miller on 11 minutes gave Frome the lead at Arbour Park, and the visitors held the advantage until the half-time interval.

Striker Chris Flood equalised for Slough three minutes after the break, his 20th goal of the season, and Simon Dunn secured all three points on 66 minutes.

The Rebels are away to promotion rivals Kings Lynn Town on Tuesday (7.45pm), before travelling to Bishops Stortford this Saturday (3pm).

Maidenhead United suffered their heaviest defeat of the season in the National League after a 7-1 loss at Gateshead on Saturday.

A goal from Richard Peniket on 23 minutes gave Gateshead the lead at the International Stadium, before Jake Hyde equalised for United just two minutes later.

The home side restored the advantage through Jamal Fyfield on 27 minutes, and they held the lead until the half-time interval.

Gateshead secured all three points in the second-half thanks to two goals from Danny Johnson, plus strikes from Peniket, Patrick McLaughlin and Jordan Burrow.

The defeat leaves Maidenhead in 13th position in the league table and three points from the 50-point marker.

United are away at Boreham Wood on Tuesday (7.45pm) before Barrow visit York Road on Saturday (3pm).
