SLOUGH Town have extended their winning run to six matches after the 8-1 demolition of Dunstable Town on Saturday.

The Rebels have been in superb form since the defeat on the opening day of the new season, and have now moved up to second position in the Southern Premier Division table.

Brad Wadkins, a summer signing from Chesham United, gave Slough the lead early on at Arbour Park but an Aaron Hudson goal meant the two sides went into the half-time interval all square at 1-1.

The Rebels then went on a goal-scoring spree in the second half to record a resounding win. Wadkins scored twice more to complete his hat-trick, and Mark Nisbet and James Dobson also found the target.

Manny Williams helped himself to a brace and fellow substitute Chris Flood also netted a goal.

Slough have the chance to go top of the league table when Hitchin Town visit Arbour Park on Tuesday (7.45pm).

The Rebels are in FA Cup action this Saturday when Dulwich Hamlet make the journey for a second qualifying round tie (3pm).

Maidenhead United saw their unbeaten away run in the National League come to an end following a 3-2 defeat at Halifax Town on Saturday.

United were a goal behind heading into half-time at the MBi Shay Stadium after Adam Morgan had given Halifax the lead with a simple finish.

Two goals in the second half from Matt Kosylo put the game out of reach for Maidenhead, though the visitors struck twice late on to give the scoreline a more respectable look.

Jake Goodman slotted in his first goal for the club before Sean Marks opened his account for the year.

The defeat means Maidenhead drop three places to 10th position in the league table ahead of back-to-back matches this week.

Windsor welcome Oxford City Nomads to Stag Meadow in the Hellenic Premier Division on Tuesday (7.45pm), before a trip to Brackley Town Saints this Saturday (3pm).
