RIVALS Datchet and champions Windsor will go head-to-head in the final Thames Valley League Division 2a match on Saturday with pride at stake.

The Home Park side will want revenge following a defeat by Datchet earlier in the campaign.

But Windsor skipper Wes Nichols is already a very happy man after promotion. He said: "We've already got our revenge by clearing them by 80 odd points. Whether we win, lose or draw we have been the better side this year.

"We are just going to enjoy it and have a drink with them afterwards."

His opposite number, Nick Tilley, who starred in the comprehensive win over Windsor, remarked: "It would be nice to do the double over them, it's always nice to beat Windsor but we are struggling a little bit with availability so it's going to be difficult.

"We will give it a go, I know they will be keen to get back at us after we beat them fairly comprehensively last time.

"I'm sure it will be a good game but I think most of us are looking forward to the evening's entertainment."
