WINDSOR skipper Wes Nichols admitted that the Thames Valley League Division 2a is theirs to throw away now.

After the weekend's results which saw another 25 points for the Home Park side and second place Datchet slip to a surprise defeat at Bagshot the gap at the top is 68 points with just four games remaining.

"We'd have to really have a mare in the next four games to lose the title from here," conceded inspirational all-rounder Nichols, who has been in top form himself this season and picked up another seven wickets on Saturday.

Windsor travel to Beaconsfield's second XI tomorrow (Saturday) who are currently fourth after inflicting a defeat on Basingstoke 2s in a low scoring encounter.

"We are not playing great, not the perfect game of cricket and we've got Beaconsfield coming up who I think are a good side.

"We will probably shake things up a little bit. The lower-order hasn't scored a run all year so we might change that round a bit as I'm not happy with them and hopefully we can play that perfect game of cricket."

Datchet captain Nick Tilley was quick to praise Windsor, he said: "No one is going to catch them now, it's Windsor's league.

"They have gone on an incredible run with their 25 point wins and played some great cricket. Well done to them."
