A ROCKET from skipper Wes Nichols helped inspire leaders Windsor to a dramatic win over Eversley.
In a topsy-turvey encounter that swung one way and then the next, Windsor prevailed thanks to a stunning catch by Brendan Kemp after it looked like the visiting captain had won the match.
Outstanding work from the groundstaff meant that they were able to play at Home Park after much rain and Nichols opted to bat first. After two early wickets, the skipper hit 68 amd Mark Huggins 62 as they reached 153-3 with a big score on the cards.
However, 18-year-old debutant Tom Cummings (6-11) ripped the heart out of the lower-order as the last seven wickets fell for 33 runs with Windsor dismissed for 186.
Eversley were on the ropes in their reply at 30-6 thanks to Nichols (2-57) and Ben Harris (5-91) but an excellent reguard action, led by captain Ben Saville's 105. He perished to a magnificent catch from Kemp and with Rahul Mohindru taking 2-24, the visitors were al out for 174.
