BURNHAM Cricket Club extended their unbeaten run in Home Counties Division One to four matches after a draw against Tring Park on Saturday.

Following on from the draw with rivals Slough, Burnham tied with Tring Park at Taplow Common Road to leave them fifth in the table and unbeaten since May 21.

Burnham batted first and posted a total of 264-9 from 50 overs.

Harveer Gandam top scored with an innings of 59 while Raminder Singh hit 52 from only 30 balls. The opening pair of Fahad Raja (38) and Raja Rehman (45) also contributed.

James Gurnett was the pick of the Tring bowlers with figures of 2-37.

In reply, the visitors reached 154-4 after 44 overs. Michael Payne was unbeaten on 64 and Rory Wood closed on 28*.

Aftab Khan took 3-44 for Burnham and Muhammad Haroon (1-39) was the only other bowler to take a wicket.

Burnham travel to bottom-of-the-table and winless Harefield this Saturday (11am start).

Slough were left frustrated by the weather when rain caused their match against Harefield to be adandoned without a ball being played at Upton Court Road.

Slough host Finchampstead this Saturday (11am) in their third all-Berkshire fixture of the season.

Datchet were denied a third successive win in Division Two when drawing with Gerrards Cross at the Wally Gage Memorial Ground.

In a low scoring match, Datchet were bowled out for 167 inside 45 overs.

Gareth Harte, fresh from playing for England in the test series against Sri Lanka, top scored with 44, and Tim Alldis added 35.

Elliot Green was the pick of the Gerrards Cross bowlers with figures of 4-29. He was supported by Joseph Bracey (2-38) and Ross Fyfe (2-46).

In reply, the visitors made 75-6 from 39 overs. Harry Nichols (18), Alexander Woodland (17) and Samuel Westaway (17*) were the only batsman to reach double figures.

Datchet skipper Steven Naylor took 3-21 and Harte 2-26, but the home side could not take the remaining wickets for the victory.

Datchet are away to Thame Town on Saturday, whilst Cookham Dean host Oxford after a seven-wicket defeat at Aston Rowant.

Cookham made 119 all out from 37.5 overs before Aston (120-3) won in the 25th over.
