WINDSOR, Slough, Eton & Hounslow athletes put up a brave display in awful conditions in the National Cross Country Championships at Alton Towers on Saturday.
The event was treacherous with melted overnight snow turning the ground into a quagmire so much so that part of the course had to be abandoned after the first race because first aiders could not reach casualties with the ambulance.
Best of the WSEH contingent came from the Under-17 Men where they finished an agonising fourth in the team race
