ATHLETES from Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow (WSEH) Athletic Club featured prominently in the recent Power of 10 national rankings for last summer's track season.

WSEH have 18 athletes ranked in the top three, a further 28 ranked in the top 10 and 41 more in the top 20.

Leading the way is upcoming star Morgan Lake, who is top of the Under-15 rankings in both the long jump and pentathlon.

She is also second in the high jump, third in the shot, top 10 in the hurdles, and the quality of her long jump, which was measured at 5.77m, puts her third in the U17 rankings.

Deji Tobias' time of 10.30secs in the 100m put him in pole position of the U20 category and he is third in the 200m thanks to a 21.07 run.

Javelin thrower Dan Pembroke came top of the U20 rankings, while all three of Ashley Smith, Charlie Smith and Cameron Crawford came second in their respective events.

For multi-eventer Ashley it was the U20 decathlon, for Charlie the U17 pole vault and Crawford the U15 discus.

There were third place finishes for Ashley Fry in the 400m hurdles, Steve Watson in the U20 discus, Sam Maguire in the U17 400m hurdles, Taylor Campbell in the U15 hammer, Yasmine Regis in the triple jump, achieved at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, Laura Burke in the U20 400m hurdles and Stephanie Clitheroe in the U15 75m hurdles.

The rankings shows the strength in depth throughout the club and it is hurdles that is the most successful event, with 12 listings.

Multi-eventer Ashley Bryant recorded the most male listings thanks to appearances in the U20 javelin, senior and U20 decathlon, U20 110m hurdles, U20 pole vault and the long jump.

There are three family combinations in the top 20 - Ryan Barrett in the U20 discus and Emily Barrett in the U20 400m, Rebecca Killip in the U15 3,000m and 1,500m and Jack Killup in the U17 3000m and Tom Reynolds in the senior decathlon and Ben Reynolds in the senior 110m hurdles.

Several WSEH athletes got swiftly back into action after Christmas in the indoor meeting held at the Lee Valley Centre.

Coach Steve McLennan was close to his 2010 best in the pole vault with 4.55m and Dan Ditton equalled his best of 3.20m in the U17 event.

Ashley Bryant marked 8.29secs in the 60m hurdles and 12.94m, while the only female from WSEH, Jo Fallon, ran 67.16secs in the U17 400m.
