Sprint double for Lamothe

WINDSOR, Slough, Eton, & Hounslow still have every chance of making the National Finals in Derby in September after finishing fifth in their final match of the National Junior (U20) league in Norwich last Sunday.

Despite having athletes away at the World Junior Championships 19 personal bests were set on the day.

Stewart Challis was an impressive winner of the men's 400m with a time of 49.4 seconds, whilst Josh Moss (1.54.6) and Connor Vine (1.56.7) won the 800m A and B races respectively.

Nick Lingley's run of good form continued with victory in the 1,500m in a time of 4.02.0 with 16-year-old Ricky Harvie taking second in the B string in 4.16.3.

Petru Snaiper was third in the 3,000m, recording a personal best of 9.52.7.

Cameron Smart won the B-string 2,000m steeplechase in a time of 6.35.7 with Khalid Al-Abraidy third in the A's with 6.33.3.

In the field events, Steve Watson threw 50.53m to finish second whilst Ryan Barret won the B string with 43.77m.

Georgia Lamothe notched up a 100/200m sprint double with 12.0 and 21.1 respectively, the latter a PB.

In the 400m Laura Burke took the runner-up spot in a time of 57.5 whilst Emily Barret finished third in 64.1 in the 400m hurdles.

Sixteen-year-old Alice Willis recorded a time of 11.02.02 to finish third in the 3,000m and Sophie Reynolds was similarly placed the B-string in 12.21.5.

In the discus event Laura James threw 34.69m to finish second in the A's. Ellie Norris threw a PB of 32.08m to win the B-string.

The quartet of Josh Moss, Jordan Thomas, Connor Vine and Stewart Challis took the mens 4x400m relay in 3.25. The women's equivalent was taken by Bex Myres, Emma Croft, Laura Burke and Emily Barrett with a time of 3.59.6.
