WINDSOR, Slough, Eton and Hounslow under-20s finished a commendable third in the National Junior Premier League at Woodford on Sunday.

The sprints reaped the best points for WSEH with Georgia Lamothe taking second in 12.13 seconds and Shalisha Patrick taking gold in the 100m B event in a PB of 12.26.

Alex Ojo took a fine second in the 200m in 22.32 with Tom Evans winning the B race in 22.41.

There were maximum points in the 400m thanks to Stefan Richard's PB (49.42) and Josh Moss' PB (51.34) in the second string. The ladies were also in good form with Leah Barrow taking the runners-up spot (57.67) and Emma Croft clocking another PB for third in 61.98.

Best of the middle distance races came in the 1,500m where the in-form Nick Lingley ran away in 4.04.1. The ladies secured maximum points in the 3,000m with wins from Alice Wills (10.51.49) and Rachel Stedman (11.10.24).

In the steeplechase the fast-improving Cameron Smart won the B race in a PB of 6.23.59 while in the A string Nathan Ditton finished in second (PB 6.20.48).

For the ladies it was Maddie Garner that grabbed second in a PB 5.28.95 and Susanna Ditton first in the B string.

Ashley Bryant claimed victory in the javelin (61.47m) and a second place in the long jump (6.71), with David Harvey only centimetres behind in winning the B string with 6.69m. Bryant did well once again in the 110m hurdles finishing second in 14.4 while Emily Barrett was the best of the one lap hurdlers in third.

Steve Watson produced the best display in the discus with a winning throw of 51.91m while Ryan Barrett took second in the B. Among the ladies Hannah Johnson produced a fine performance to take second in the javelin (34.08m).

Both mens relay teams produced two good second places in 4x100m and 4x400m. The ladies were similarly placed in the 4x100m.
