Lake takes hat-trick of titles

WINDSOR, Slough, Eton & Hounslow emerged from last weekend's County Championships with five athletes topping the national ranking lists.

Morgan Lake took a hat-trick of titles in the Berkshire Championships at Reading and topped the national rankings for the U15s girls long jump with 5.63m.

Lake won her first title in the U13 75m hurdles in 11.9 seconds and completed it with a new county record in the U15 girls shot (11.68m).

Taylor Cambell improved by three metres in the U15 hammer to make his mark with 52.93m. Aimee Partridge opened with victory in the U20 400m hurdles (72.1), followed by a new county record set by Sam Maguire in the U17 400m hurdles (55.8).

Maguire grabbed his second title of the day in the U17 100m hurdles in a personal best of 14.1.

Shalisha Patrick took the U17 100m title (12.4) while Steve Johnson took the senior 100m title (11.0) and 200m (22.2). Hannah Johnson made it a Johnson family treble to win the U17 javelin title.

Charlotte Banks won the U17 80m hurdles (12.3), Faye Williams the U20 100m (17.4) and Harriet Shurley the seniors (17.9).

Taylor Campbell set a championship record of 52.93m in the U15 hammer while veteran Janet Smith took the senior title with 42.37m.

Shakira Whight won the senior triple jump with 11.69m and Mark Holloway the senior long jump. Steve Walker and Charlie Smith both cleared 3.6m to win the senior and U17 pole vault respectively.

At the combined Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire championships, Dan Pembroke took pole position nationally in the U20 javelin with 66.55m.

Meanwhile Cameron Crawford moved up 20 places into first with his new county record of 43.93m in the U15 discus.

Steve Watson also tops the UK list as winner of the Herts championships with 52.56m in the U20 discus.

Tom Evans triumphed in the U20 200m (22.89) and Nick Lingley followed with a win in the U20 1,500m (4.08.8).

Stephanie Clitheroe took the U15 75m hurdles title while Gabriela Zivanovic won double gold in the U15 shot (8.27m) and discus.

Sibling Aleksia won the U13 1,500m title and Ellie Jackson triumphed in both the shot and discus.
