A FANTASTIC performance from the large contingent of Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow young athletes saw them come away with individual and team medals from the Holly Run at Reigate last weekend.

Pride of place went to the under-17 men's team where Nathan Ditton took the individual gold while leading the team of Shane Streeter (seventh), James Tidd (eighth) and Zac Curran (12th) to the team gold.

There were also team medals in the under-15 boys and under-15 girls age groups, this time silver. Ben Bradley was the best of the boys with his sixth place finish, with Henry Suggitt (14th) and James Porter (19th) in support. For the girls, Emma Maurer led the way with her fourth place, closely followed by Abbie Schmid (eighth), Natasha Carr (11th) and Laura Higton (18th).

Bronze awards came in the under-11 girls race that had 99 runners. Evie Higton was first home in seventh place, with newcomer Nancy Scott in 12th and Kirstin Sutherland in 14th.

There was a similarly large field in the under-11 boys event but this time the WSEH team were just out of the medals in fourth. Will Brockman was the best of the trio in 15th with Harrison Porter 16th and Tom Maddock 20th.

Emily Reeves led the charge for the under-13 girls with her seventh place finish, with Lucy Maurer (19th) and Chantal Banton (29th) to bringing the team into fifth place.

There were just two WSEH athletes in the under-13 boys race, with Giles Robinson crossing the line in eighth and Will Goddard 17th.

Laura Suggitt was the lone under-17 lady, finishing in eighth place.
