WINDSOR, Slough, Eton & Hounslow have been crowned champions of the National Young Athletes League Southern Premier Division.
This was following a convincing victory at Woodford Green on Sunday where the hosts were third and Harrow second, which qualified them for the final in Birmingham in September.
The under-13 girls made a flying start with Ellie Rayer (10.61 seconds) and Ellie Boatman (10.81) both settign personal bests in the 75m with Rayer (20.57) doing likewise in the 150m, along with Morgan Lake (19.88) in the A event.
Lake and Boatman (11.8) then did the double in the 70m hurdles with the latter doing it in a PB.
Middle distance runners Becca Croft, Emily Reeves, Kathryn Ditton and Gemma Burgin all excelled with Burgin settign a best of 4.41.58 in the 1,200m.
Mikaela Wright (4.32m) and rayer (4.25m) both triumphed in the long jump with personal bests as Lake and Olivia Saligoi (6.20m, PB) winning the shot as the 4x100m relay team rounded off with a win.
Excellent sprinting from the under-15 girls saw four victories for Steph Clitheroe, Olivia Caesar in the 100m and Caesar and Holly Reed in the 200m.
The distance runners also produced some good results with Sophie Street winning the B 800m in a PB of 2.30.23, Joanne Fallon setting a PB in the 1,500m of 5.14.54 wher Christina Hall winning the B.
Steph Clitheroe won the 75m hurldes, Demi Barrance was runner-up in the A high jump with Emily Haberfield winning the B in a PB of 1.35m and Barrance set a PB in the long jump with 4.66m.
Gabriela Zivanovic did well in the discus, javelin (PB of 20.75m) and shot with personal best for Holly Reed in the discus and Clitheroe in the javelin.
In the under-17s Georgia Lamothe and Shalisha Patrick both achieved fine doubles in the sprints with the latter setting PBs in both with 12.36 and 25.83.
Chloe Mays and Hannah Kirby both won their 300m events, as did Laura Suggitt and Lois Bond in the 800m, also Maryse Haynes and Naomi Barbour in the 1,500m.
Hannah Widgington - in only her second 3,000m - ran an extremely well paced race and won in a new PB of 12.44.35. Her coach was really pleased with her performance.
Charlotte Banks ran close to her best in both the 80m hurdles and 300m hurdles. Letisha Richardson set a best of 12.94 in the short hurdles with Sarah Phelps coming in to help win valuable points for the team setting a PB of 55.85 in the long hurdles.
Phelps equalled her season's best in the high jump, and Richardson with team-mate Pascale Waterson scoring highly in the long jump. Lily Guerin continued her fine form, equalling her PB of 2.20m in the pole vault. waterson set a PB of 10.25m to take third in the triple jump with Hannah Kirby winning the B.
In the throws, Jenny Yoxall/Sarah Taplin (discus), Tara Barratt (PB 22.53)/Sarah Taplin (PB 15.26) (hammer), Sarah Taplin/Helen Farmer (javelin) and Tara Barratt/Jenny Yoxall (shot) all achieved very good performances. The 4x100 team finished first and the 4x300 team took second place.
