WINDSOR, Slough, Eton and Hounslow grabbed third place in the second match of the Youth Development League Southern Premier series at Bromley.

The club requires an improved performance in the remaining two matches if they are to achieve a place in the league final in September.

Alex Haydock-Wilson impressed in the sprint events, winning the Under 20 100m in a PB of 10.88secs, going on to place second in the 200m in 21.8secs, with Josh Zeller winning the B race in 22.17secs.

The U20 Women’s 100m produced a third place for Hannah Jones in 12.323secs with Rebecca Watkins second in the B with 12.48secs. Watkins was also second in the 200m A in a time of 25.8secs.

The best of the U17 sprints came from the ladies. Ayoola Babalola (12.37secs) and Abbie Sillett (12.51secs) scored maximum points in the 100m.

They both then placed second in the 200m races with Babalola on 25.63secs and Sillett on 26.24secs.

In the U17 men’s races, Toby Makayawo notched an impressive double with his times of 11.11secs and 22.52secs The ladies added to the points tally with a victory for Phoebe Fenwick in the U20 400m with Orla Brennan second in 60.73secs.

Josh Pearson dipped under the 50secs barrier again in the U17 400m in 49.54secs with Marvin Tchangwa also second in the B race in 53.85secs.

The 800m saw WSEH athletes to the fore with Charlotte Harris winning the U20 race in 2m15.6 secs with Meg Ormond third with 2m 26.83.

The U17 race was dominated by the talented Dominic McDougall, winning in a new PB of 1m 55.61 secs, with Tchangwa third in 2m 05.09. Amy Young was third in the U27 ladies’ race in 2m 19.9.

The 1,500m event also proved a high points earner for the local club.

Morgan Hanson (4m 51.92secs) and Juliet Soane ( 5m 22.0secs) were second and third in the U20 ladies race, with Dan Brookling third in the U20 men (4m 08.55).

Further improvement continued in the U17 men’s race where Sam Southall (4m 7.82) and Zain Kothari (4m 41.7) both placed second.

However, the best result of the day came in the U17 ladies’ race where Molly Jones(4m 46.09) and Phoebe Anderson(4m 54.68) scored maximum points with A and B string victories.

The 3,000m races proved lucrative with Ormond (10m 48.7) and Juliet Soane(12m 55.6) both grabbing second places.

Pavitt Kullar was the best of the WSEH males with his second place in 9m 54.88, while Kate Clutterbuck was similarly placed in the U17 ladies’ race in 11m 24.72.

In the steeplechase events, Shaun Hudson took third in the U20 men’s race in 6m 23.9, while Maya Hodgson (5m 19.2) and Beccy Pope (5m 57.8) were both placed second in the U20 ladies’ event.

In the U17 race, Madison Foxcroft was second in 5m 33.83, allowing Izzie Craven to win the B string in 5m 35.94.

Josh Zeller(13.97secs) and Josh Armstrong (15.12secs) scored a winning double in the U20 110m hurdles with Jodie Smith second in the U17 80m event in 12.12secs.

Anna Croft was a runaway winner in the U20 400m hurdles in 63.29secs with Marcey Winter completing a winning double in the B string with 62,74secs.

Brennan (45.17secs) and Ellie Kreffting (49.33secs) were both second in the U17 300m hurdles Sam Challis left it to his last jump to win the U20 long jump with 6m 93.

Of the triple jumpers, Hannah Jones took third place in the U20 with 10m 12.

Kai Cheung- Lambert improved to second in the U17 with his 11m 68.

Rachel Melbourne tied for first place in the U20 high jump with 1m 50, while Lionel Owona took second in the U17 with 1m 85.

The lone WSEH pole vaulter was Kalika Nowers – she placed third with 2m 90.

The javelin event achieved two second places for Jude Compton-Stewart with 45m 56 and Jodie Smith on 36m12 – while Jonah McCafferty was third in the U17 on 41m 86.

George Smith won the B string with a leap of 32m 87. James Shefford was the best of the WSEH male hammer throwers with his 38m 92 for second place, and Francesca Williams was second in the U17 ladies with 51m 25. Amy Wright also won the B string with 43m 99.

Best of the discus results also came in this age group with Mia Eldridge (25m 51) and Amy Wright(13m 38) both placed third.

The best of the relay races proved to be the U20 ladies 4x400m where the squad of Phoebe Fenwick, Charlotte Humphries, Marcey Winter, and Anna Croft were first across the line in 3m 55.75.
