FC BENTONS failed in their attempts to win the Berks & Bucks Sunday Intermediate Cup this season after a 3-1 defeat to Aylesbury Flooring.
A goal from Dave Brown gave Aylesbury a narrow lead heading into the half-time interval at Larges Lane.
Aylesbury doubled their advantage after the break through Taylor Collins, before Alex McGowan was dismissed for a second bookable offence.
Bentons pulled a goal back straight after the restart, but Aylesbury secured the win when Mitchell Collins bagged the third goal before the full-time whistle.
Bentons now turn their focus back to Division One of the Thames Valley League and are just one win from clinching the league title.
