MONDAY night saw a battle between the two teams propping up the Premier Division table in the Maidenhead District Netball League at Kidwells Park.

The Redbacks came into the game against Scotch without a win all season and, although they started well they could not keep pace with their opponents shooting accuracy.

Scotch steadily increased their lead each quarter and the game finished 36-27 to them.

Having only being promoted to Premier Division this season, Angels have been giving long-standing teams a competitive game and last week was no different.

Angels took a slight lead into the first break, but Business Moves pulled it back to lead by one goal at half-time. A run of goals in the fourth quarter then saw Business Moves win 36-32.

In Division One, Phoenix Pinkz stay top of the league table after a nail-biting performance against Wokingham Netball Club, eventually winning the game 23-22.

The Magpies remain second after drawing 27-27 against Black Magic, whilst Sevens move into third after beating Sparks 24-21.

Langley Netball Club (LNC) Royals move up the to fifth after their 34-23 victory against Apple Travel Green.

LNC Flyers held off Firebirds who were pushing them all the way 34-31, and Woodley won again but this time by default (21-0) as LNC Sapphires could not field a team.

The game of the evening went to Genesis & Henley. A close match throughout with Henley leading at half-time. Genesis walked the third quarter to take the lead but Henley rebounded in the fourth for 30-30 draw.

Nettlebed Stingers moved back to the top of Division Three with a 32-18 win against Crazies.

Sharks slip to second after a magnificent comeback from Meister who, despite being 10-4 down after the first quarter, pulled ahead at the end of the game to win 28-26.

The Blue Magnets had another win, this time against ANTS 21-18.
