MAIDENHEAD United have reached the last-16 of the FA Trophy this season after a 4-1 win away at Halifax Town on Saturday.

United fell behind in a little over 30 seconds at the MBi Shay Stadium when Halifax midfielder Matt Kosylo slotted past keeper Carl Pentney.

The visitors equalised on the brink of half-time in the second round tie when Moses Emmanuel bundled in a Harry Pritchard cross.

Maidenhead went ahead seven minutes into the second half through Pritchard and much to the delight of the 18 travelling supporters.

Emmanuel doubled his own tally for the match with a second goal on the hour mark when powering home a Rene Steer cross.

Pritchard scored his second from the penalty spot after Emmanuel was tripped inside the box on 73 minutes.

The reward for Maidenhead is a third round tie at home to either Kidderminster Harriers or Stockport County on Saturday, February 3 (3pm).

United return to action in the National League with a trip to promotion-chasing Tranmere Rovers this Saturday (3pm).

Slough Town were left frustrated when their Southern Premier Division match away at St Ives Town was postponed.

The pitch at Westwood Road was declared waterlogged and failed a morning inspection.

Windsor were beaten on their return to action in the Hellenic Premier Division after a 3-1 defeat away at Flackwell Heath.

Paul Coyne gave Windsor the lead with a goal on 30 minutes at Wilks Park, but the visitors saw Jack Denton dismissed for a second bookable offence before the break.

Flackwell used their one-man advantage well in the second half and a brace from Charlie Samuels plus a goal from Dean Allen secured them the points.

The defeat leaves Windsor in ninth position in the table and nine points behind their target of sixth place.
